Accommodations:

We highly recommend you stay at the host resort facilities, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel where the retreat is being held. We have carefully selected this location for its quiet beauty and retreat-like atmosphere. Remember, your Executive Purpose™ Hawaii Retreat is designed for you to have plenty of time for personal renewal and reflection, and without the distractions of daily life and busyness.

Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is a 4 -Star Resort located approximately 26 miles North of the Kailua-Kona International Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii. The resort sits next to a beautiful white sand beach in a serene setting. Golf, tennis, swimming pool, fitness center and spa are available. There are several restaurants and a take out deli on this property as well as at the Mauna Kea Resort, which is the sister property next door. Guests of either hotel have full use of both facilities.

We strongly encourage you take advantage of this time when coming to Hawaii. If at all possible, please include vacation time on both ends of the retreat. We recommend that you arrange to arrive at least 2 days before the retreat and depart at least 2 to 3 days after the retreat ends so you get plenty of time to slow down and to enjoy some of the treasures of the Big Island .

Island Travel between Hotel and Airport:

There is no shuttle service between the hotel and airport. You will need to take a taxi or rent a car. We have been told that a taxi from the airport to Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is $68 one-way. A taxi can normally carry four passengers with baggage for the one fee. There is also a $5.50 per person baggage handling fee for your porters at the hotel.

Car Rentals:

Hertz, Budget, Alamo , Thrifty, Dollar and National are all available at the Kona International airport. Go to www.orbitz.com to shop for the best price. You can also book directly with each car rental company.

Airlines:

For lowest airfares shop www.kayak.com or www.orbitz.com or www.priceline.com or www.expedia.com. You will be flying into the Kailua Kona (KOA) airport on the Big Island of Hawaii.

United, Aloha, Hawaiian Air, America West, Continental and U.S. Airways all fly from the West Coast and other cities to Kona International Airport .

To get the best rates we recommend you book your tickets as soon as possible after signing up for the retreat.

Again we strongly encourage you to arrive at least one or two days before the retreat and depart at least two to three after the retreat ends so that you get plenty of rest and enjoy some of the island delights.

Please arrive at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of the retreat to pick up your name badge and course materials

Retreat Schedule:

The retreat sessions will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. on the first day and at 9:00 a.m. each morning thereafter. There are two retreat sessions each day that run for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours each with a 10 to 15 minute break in the middle of each session. Lunch break usually begins at 12:30 p.m. each day for approximately 1 1/2 hours. We may also have one or two evening programs. The program ends at 5:00 p.m. on day 5.

Very Important:

For maximum benefit to yourself and the other participants, please plan to attend all of the group sessions for the entire 5-day retreat program. You’ll be glad you did.

Breaks and Meals:

You are on your own for all meals. There are several restaurants and a deli at the Hapuna Prince and Mauna Kea Resort properties.

The other nearby resorts listed above also have restaurants, however, you will need to arrange transportation if you do not have a car.

There is a 10-15 minute break at least every 2 hours during the program. Lunch break generally begins at 12:30 p.m. for approximately 1 1/2 hours.

What to Bring:

Very Important. Please bring 5 to 7 of your favorite magazines or magazines of interest to you. Make sure the magazines include plenty of photos and be ready to cut them out. You will be using the pictures for one of the exercises in the program. We will provide scissors and other materials.

What to Wear:

The weather in Hawaii (at sea level) will be warm during the days 80-85 degrees (winter) and 85-95 (summer). Nights run upper 60’s to low 70’s (winter) and 70-75 (summer). However, at higher elevations (like in Waimea) it can be 10 to 30 degrees cooler. Dress is casual and comfortable. You will not need business attire. You may want resort wear for evenings. Aloha shirts, T-shirts, lightweight slacks and shorts for men and lightweight dresses, slacks, or shorts for women. Bring a light wrap for evenings or when in air conditioning. Bring comfortable walking shoes and sandals. Bring your bathing suit for dips in the pool or ocean!

Note: Due to allergic responses of some retreat participants, please do not wear any fragrances such as perfume colognes, after shave, scented lotions, essential oils or aromatheray during the retreat sessions.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:

To reserve your space in the retreat, a $600 deposit is required at the time you register and the balance is due at least 90 days prior to your retreat. You may wish to set up on an automatic payment schedule so that your payment(s) are handled without further effort on your part. We accept MasterCard, Visa or you may pay by Check made out to “Kamuela Life Retreats,” and mail it to P.O. Box 383894, Waikoloa, Hawaii 96738.. Financing options are also available.

If you have registered for this event through an associate seminar venue, the cancellation terms and conditions presented at that time apply. Otherwise you are subject to the following terms.

All cancellations must be in writing and received in our office within 15 days of your registration date for a full refund. Once beginning the program or after 15 days from registration (whichever occurs first) your tuition is non-refundable, however for a $150 per person transfer fee you may opt to transfer your retreat to another person or apply your payment(s) to a future retreat or other Executive Purpose program up to one year from the date of purchase as long as such change is made more than 45 days prior to the start of the program for which you are registered.

Our cancellation policy is firm; therefore we suggest consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance. All cancellations must be received by us in writing within the allotted time frames.

Children & Baby Sitting

Children are wonderful. However, for your maximum benefit, you will need to be involved in and remain focused on your own program during the retreat. Ideally, you can arrange to have your children cared for by someone you trust and left at home. If this is not workable, the Hotel may offer babysitting services. If you do need to bring your children, check to see that the babysitting coincides with when you will be in the retreat and that your children will have plenty to entertain them without your presence during the day. Remember, this time is for you, and the least amount of distractions are optimal. This retreat is not designed for children under the age of 18.
